MONI, also known as Monsta Infinite, is a cryptocurrency used in an online game called MMORPG card-based monster battle game that is built on blockchain technology. This innovative game allows players to earn real-life revenue while they explore the virtual world, giving it a play-to-earn concept. Monsta Infinite was originally created as a more affordable version of Axie Infinite, another virtual universe. However, it has now evolved to address various issues present in the world of NFT games.

During gameplay, users assemble a team of creatures known as MONSTAs and engage in card-based battles against other players or computer-controlled opponents. Additionally, Monsta Infinite offers an open-world feature where gamers can develop a social network and participate in live events.

While MONI serves as a governance token that enables holders to vote on important decisions on the platform and profit through MONI stacking, STT is primarily used for purchasing in-game assets. At the end of each season in the player-versus-player mode, high-ranking players receive MONI as a reward.

The roadmap published on the official Monsta Infinite website states that MONI was first available for purchase in September 2021, and the game is expected to be publicly launched in the first quarter of 2022.
