Hundred Finance is a decentralized platform that facilitates lending and borrowing of cryptocurrencies. It is a multi-chain protocol that works with Chainlink oracles to ensure stability in the market. The platform specializes in handling less popular cryptocurrencies. Users of Hundred Finance can lend their selected cryptocurrency assets and borrow against their loan-to-value ratio. They can earn variable interest on the assets they lend and accrue interest on the borrowed assets. When users borrow, the desired cryptocurrency is sent to their wallet, while the assets they supply are represented as hTOKENS. These hTOKENS can be redeemed at any time for the original asset along with the accrued interest.
The interest rates on Hundred Finance are automatically calculated and expressed as an annual percentage yield (APY) per token. These rates adjust based on demand and liquidity for a specific asset, encouraging users to stake their funds during periods of increased demand. This helps maintain a healthy market.
If the value of the supplied assets decreases, or if the accrued interest is not enough to serve as collateral for the borrowed assets, an account on Hundred Finance is at risk of liquidation. In the event of liquidation, independent liquidators claim the assets (hTOKENS) along with a penalty, in order to repay the debt and restore a healthy collateralization ratio.
Hundred Finance has its own token called HND, which will be distributed among users for their participation in the platform. The HND token allows decentralized decision-making through governance and incentivizes user interaction, thus supporting the growth of the Hundred Finance project.
